Our visit to Uvalde, TX was quite a surprise for some. We barely made it for the opening ceremony but still got to march with the teams. I marched with the Polish team and Ziggy deserted to the Aussies.

I made the effort and warned the Polish team about our arrival so they were not that surprised:

The opening ceremony was short enough not to get bored and everyone was handed a bottle of ice cold water to survive the heat. A P-51 Mustang flew two low passes over the public. The teams are now completing last preparations for the competition day tomorrow. We checked in our hotel and will join all of them for the evening safety briefing and a nice cold beer.
