Thank you Horsham!

Now! This is absolutely beautiful:

I truly have to admit that the most supporting and crossing fingers emails I have received during this comp came from Australia, the most blog entries were from here and the most congrats after the comp finished too.

By the end of the day it doesn't matter what passport one holds, for which country flies or what language speaks. In the end we are all one big and a bit crazy glider pilots family. I was flying for all my friends who are there for me, wish me well and therefore support me in the best way one can imagine and wish. And to be honest I was also flying because I love it! It's an addiction that even Dr. Ziggy doesn't know how to cure.

The next Worlds are in two years in France. Looking at the progress I made from the last Worlds two years back I should be able to jump on the box then. We will then see what anthem will be played ...

making headlines

Good to be back home and find a few weeks old newspaper with a nice article in it. It doesn't really take much to make headlines in a small country town :-) It feels good though that Merv apparently enjoyed our short flight.
