working bee in the club

Yesterday was the working bee Saturday in the club. We de-rigged the Grob, which is gonna go to Joe's for the Form 2 and cleaned the mess in the workshop to prepare it for painting.

the usual stuff: 2 working, all the others watching

Ziggy volunteered some time ago to paint the whole workshop. There is some wall patching and washing to be done. We removed Joe's old radio and speakers that were mounted in the walls and not working for the last XXXXX years. The radio has been donated to Phil to be reused in his newest purchase ... hhhhhmmmm .... don't really know how to call it so check it out yourself:

The missing wings (it's a biplane!) are in Phil's hangar for a fine tune up. The "aircraft" is not performing as expected and there are some constructional changes to be done. An aeronautical engineer is needed to make the necessary calculations and supervise the process. Nobody volunteered as test pilot for the factory flight though.
The Horsham way of supervising is presented on the pictures below:

inspecting the ceiling under supervision

further inspections under double supervision

bull eye door

bull eye door maintenance under backed up double supervision

And if somebody has ever wondered how many pilots does it take to figure out that the photocopier is truly not working, here it is:

I bet there is some use for this in the club.

We'll be patching the walls and washing them off next weekend. I just can't wait :-)

  2. There you go! We've got a name for it: Unique Australian Lightwing Pocket Rocket Biplane (UALPRB). The wings are so light that you cannot even see them on these pics!
